How Hot is it?
Too Darn Hot!
My challenge to you is to leave a comment telling me the date, time, temperature my blog says it is here and also what the temperature is where you are. It's hot here and from what we've heard, pretty much all over! Hope Everyone's Electricity keeps cranking!
Ugh, just realize I have to do wash today, don't think I can wait as I've been waiting for cooler days for about a week now? Better sooner than later and we have a clothesline which I'll use. Rumor has it it is against the law in Pleasanton to use a clothesline. I never wanted to really know that for sure because I'd have to move out of principal and we can't afford too. Maybe I'll get one of those umbrella ones that move up and down and make sure it's high enough for everyone in the public park next door can see. My own little protest! :-)

Hi Tori- at 7:40 Cal. time 7/23, you have 84 degrees, humidity 43%. Here in RI at 10:40 according to Weatherbug it is 79 degrees/feels like 81, and the humidity is 69%. As they say, it is not the heat but the humidity which makes it feel worse! I'm saving my biking for this evening as I don't want to get all sweaty before going out in a bit.
Hanging clothes is about the only household chore I enjoy. I don't understand snooty places that prohibit it. Maybe Al Gore should go after them!
At 8:20 am your time, it's 84°F but feels like 85°F.
Here in SE OH, it's currently 77°F but supposed to go up to 82°F.
I love those things. Back in Australia, we normally call them a Hills (name of the brand) hoist.

In northeast Indiana on Sunday 7-23 at 12:22 pm it is only 72 degrees. But the mosquitoes are awful so we are still stuck inside. But that does leave plenty of knitting time!
Your blog says it is 9:45 and 93 degrees. Here in Lynnwood, WA it is the same time and 72 degrees. It is suppose to get up to 87 degrees today, which is really hot for this area.
At 10:40 PDT it is 97 degrees. The clothes and sheets are on the line. I expect Pleasanton Police Officers to come knocking any moment :-).
It's 97 degrees where you are, at 1:48 pm here in New Jersey (11:48 California time). It's a cool 75 degrees here, thanks to the massive, violent thunderstorms that have gone through in the last couple days, although the humidity is at 65%. Still, much improved over last night--it was 98% when I went to bed last night. I'm just relieved that the heat has died down--not only for us, but for all the poor souls stuck in Queens, on their 7th day without power!
I hope you manage to stay cool. This weather has just been insane!

UGH... it sure is yucky. I get a little laugh at the people in the L.A. area who are complaining about temps above 100 for 15 days. It's been above 100 here every day since the end of May. Yeah, yeah... I live in the desert..but not by choice.
3:00 p.m. here 113 degrees. Our airconditioner is struggling and the house is 88 degrees. I know many people have smaller units and homes with higher ceilings :-(. Think I'll visit the kiddy pool!

There's a big article in our paper today about CA's miserable heat and power outages. Hope you are all OK and keeping as cool as you can!
