Ka-Ching, Money saved?

Here is a reminder of what Sparky looks like with long hair. It was actually even longer.....Well, to get him clipped for the summer the going rate around here is $100 or more. Since good clippers cost about that much we bought some and I started to clip him. It takes a bit of time so I didn't finish yet. My poor beautiful doggy! I'm glad he doesn't know the hideous job I'm doing and he is already cooler. He'd started sleeping on the tile in the house and concrete outside exclusively. He's too old of a guy to not have his cushion. The last few days he's been back in comfort and not panting so much. The instructions for the clippers state with practice you get better. I sure hope so.

We also cleaned out our air conditioning unit ourselves saving another $100. I hope whoever put the unit right in the path of the dryer vent at least had second thoughts about the placement of one or the other! We cleaned a bunch of lint and Sparky hair off of the cols. My hubby built a screen box to give it a little more protection.

I only have about 10 more rows on the BSJ! Oh, I can't WAIT to start my Plum Spring Forward Cardigan!!!!!

Today was the last class of the semester for our Music Together Center. I got to lead the whole class. It is a lot of fun and I feel like I'm being challenged quite a bit. Last week Rowena (my director) told me I had to accompany at least one song with an instrument. To say I totally freaked out with stress is an understatement, but I did it and I'm still here. The Summer Songs Semester sarts in 2 weeks. It will be a lot of fun and I'm officially a teacher now.
