Maybe I should just knit swatches!

Some people hate swatches. I don't, I can handle knitting a swatch. I can do a swatch. Keeping my attention and finishing a whole sweater is another thing. This swatch is made from Red Heart (GASP!) Shetland Chunky. It has the same specs/description as Patons Shetland Chunky but there are differences (of course). It's not as soft but I still like it. Its really cheap at Smiley's Yarns. I get a smaller gauge so am going to add stitches and play with the pattern a bit. The other swatch material is heavier softer and seems like it will be warmer, so that will be my cold weather version. So I'm off to abuse and wash my swatch to see what the shrinkage pill factor is.

On another note! I got on the scale today and have lost between 25 and 30 lbs. Woo Hoo! Best thing is I'm still feeling great! Thank you ISAGENIX! I am a little tired because I just can't sleep in the heat and we don't want to have to mortgage the house for the energy bill, so no AC at night.

Swatch! Swatch! Swatch!

I'm trying to find the perfect yarn for my Hooded Cabled Pullover. I think I may have found it! I'm using Patons Shetland Chunky doubled with WoolEase to get the gauge I need. I got gauge with just the Shetland Chunky on larger needles but didn't like how it turned out. I'm going to wash block and abuse this swatch to see how it holds up. I'm hoping for minimul pilling. Just incase I forget: I used size 10 needles and the yarn above to acheive gauge on both cables (woohoo)
