A Break....Like I need it :-)

I tend to make things harder than they are. Every week I totally stress out about the 2 classes I teach for Music Together. I've also substituted an average of 1 day a week and am working with another teacher who is opening a center in a community near ours. Anyway, our semester is over and the next one starts mid-January. I LOVE doing this but am new, need more experience and confidence and have been sick quite a bit in the past 4 months. So I'm VERY glad for a break from the responsibility. I'm planning on spending time really learning the new songs, thinking and practicing the guitar enough to use that in class too. I also have other lofty goals (unrealistic) ideas of what I'll get done during this break. I do want to be as organized and productive as possible though so I can make this break worthwhile.

On the knitting end of things....I have more fuzzy feet but I won't bore you with pictures of the same ol' thing until the pile is huge and picture worthy. I did receive some lovely blue Bernat Sox yarn I'm using to make Broadstreet mitten/gloves for my sister who is allergic to wool. I'll definitely share pictures as that will be a nice bright break from fuzzy feet.

Fuzz....

 Posted by Picasa
Fuzzy Feet are on my gift list! Unfortunately that means my poor readers will be subjected to numerous pictures of them as the pile grows.....I'll try to keep it to a minimum. I'm also planning to make a few pair or the Broadstreet gloves from Knitty since a few of my relatives are allergic to wool.

It's not Lavender......

I started Ribby! About 6 inches done. Started with the second largest size then decreased down a size at about the waist. Hope this works. nice break from the Fuzzy Feet. Should have worked on my Mystic Poncho if I was going to get distracted, but oh well! Posted by Picasa

Too Darn Cute

Check out the cute hat at Chappysmom. She's selling the pattern and donating $1 to Habitat for Humanity for purchases before November 25.

Goodbye Lavendar Galway!

I decided to put the Galway lavendar yarn on EBay (Item Number 8233559833). For some reason, my head tells me I like this color and normally I do. I think this shade of lavendar has more of a reddish hue to it. I'm more of a periwinkle kind of person. My fickleness will be someone elses gain! So now I'm making Ribbi out of some wonderful Cascade Lana D Oro I have in a wonderful tealy, denimy kind of blue. I think I have enough to do the whole cardigan in this color. I'll decide when I reach the arm holes what I want to do.
