Angels

I didn't get much knitting done, maybe two rows? I did make clay angels using imprints of Esther and her little friends hands. Yesterday was the last day he would be with us regularly so I had to work on this project. Last Christmas we made gift bags for our family that included Bread Warmers. They were just rectangular 1/4 inch thick pieces of clay that we decorated and had someone fire for us. One of the ladies who saw them said, "Oh, how cute, you had the kids decorate these" LOL, I wasn't sure what kids she was refering to and we HAD joked previously that we could tell people Esther made them.

"A little bit of History repeating......"

Yes I did Sparky, and No it's not a doggy coat for you, you come with your own! hee hee, Sparky will cock his head to the side when he hears a funny noise, unfortunately my digital camera doesn't quite have the timing to get the full affect.

I started the Campus Coat in the Aug-Oct 2005 issue of Cast On. I knit a Diamond Patch and then several inches on the back of the Coat. I'll post pics soon.

Okay, about the title. check out this picture of this "bug". Kind of interesting, whatever could it be with those stripes.........................
AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!

Somebody PLEASE MAKE THEM GO AWAY!

Click the blog title to see the history, obviously I didn't get the Mom before, at least not in time. I now know more than I ever wanted to know about these spiders. This is a young one, the younger ones aren't black at all but have the round bodies. I did just clean, hose down, sweep,m and disrupt any place I thought they could be in the yard a few days ago. I've seen 3 in the last two days. This one rode into the house on a canvas covered board I left out for the afternoon drying. It may be time for professional help, even though they are resistant to chemicals, I feel like we have to do something to keep them at bay. Now for the wierd part. I'm more afraid of trying to kill them than I am to catch them. Is that strange or what! I picture them jumping on my leg if I try to stomp them (shudder!) So my hubby has to take care of them.

I've Got Mail!

Look at the cool mail I got today! Michelle at Knitting and Losing sent me a nice card, cute little sweater ornament and a beautiful dragonfly pin. It will look so good with my purse when it's done! Thank you so much Michelle!

Breakin' the Law

Rumor has it that Pleasanton is one of the Bay Area Cities where clotheslines are (or were) illegal. I don't want to know, I'd have to move it if it were true. So for now I'll be discreet....It would be funny to hang it between the trees on the park side.....LOL

Our magnolia tree blooms in the Spring but then has a few blossoms throughout the summer. They look so pretty against the green leaves.

I'm hopping to have pictures of the Diamond Patch and Crocheted purse COMPLETED by the end of the week, or at least by August 31st.

My Nephews

Aren't they cute? Guess what favorite Aunt made there hats. I made one when my niece found out she was pregnant and before they found out the sex. She reminded us she didn't like yellow so I had to make a purple hat. Then when we found out there were two little boys, I made the other. I offered then and now to take one and also joked with her that even though twins run in our family, God gave me Esther because that is what I can handle. LOL, She's still a lot of work but such a good kid!
