April Fools

A friend emailed the following story to me a few days ago. I thought it would be fitting for April Fools Day!

The Chase is On!

Maddie, Sparky and Bentley enjoying a romp on the long awaited sunny weather. I just realized they are all due to go to the vet. My vet is about 18 miles North of here and I don't want to change vets. There are some great ones in our town, but I just consider Bishop Ranch Vetrinary Clinic in San Ramon the best! The problem is it pretty much means two trips unless I can have someone watch Esther and even then it will be a challenge.

Hmmm, this brings me to my dream about our car situation as of late. I would love to have a huge convertable van that we only drive in situations like this and when we want to go camping with the whole family. We would also have a small car Esther and I could run around town with and be a little more economical and ecological. I always wonder about the Hybrids but assume they are too expensive to maintain.

Now to my gripe of late...... Ha! How much more expensive could a Hybrid be to maintain than my 2000 VW Passat wagon with just 50K miles on it? I've talked to people that love their Passats so I must have the one that missed the quality control inspection. I'm sick of costly repairs and the constant smell of burning oil. I've had the engine tested several times for. So tell your friends to avoid VW, I know the allure of the Triptronic transmission and the powerful engine, but it's not worth this! However, if you have someone you don't care too much for, you can convince them to buy mine. (VBG) Posted by Hello

Garden Art?

I was reading Carissa's Blog and wondering how she got so far on her beautiful pink sweater in less than a week. Then I realized I've been spending my time on things that need to be done around here and on things that don't. This is one of them. I had some wire, beads and a glass ball hummingbird feeder that didn't work. So a few pipes from home depot and now it is part of Esther's garden art. She has an area near her playstructure where there are some whimsical (okay some are strange) garden art items for her to enjoy. So I'm going to try and focus on the things I should do AND my Diamond Patch Sweater the rest of this week. Posted by Hello
