Oh So Easily Distracted.....

I've joined the Dual Disc Debacle CD swap. I NEED more music in my life. That is my excuse and I'm sticking to it! So another thing to work on. Fortunately not until September so I SHOULD finish my 2 projects for the August Challenge right? RIGHT? RIGHT?

For some reason, at the end of a project I knit (or in this case crochet) I s-l-o-w d-o-w-n. The crochet purse should have been all crocheted yesterday and I did work on it. I still have a little bit to do. At any rate, I'll be done by Aug 31st for the August Challenge. Either that or my 2 projects will be Frontier Hats. Ha Ha Ha.

Today I have to.....

Our plans for today include the park with Esther's playgroup.  I have a little bit of practicing to do for Music Together classes I'm subbing for on Friday and then play with Miss E and crochet and knit!  I may also change a few of the window screens around the house and restring our patio umbrella (The string broke yesterday).  So exciting don't ya think?  I'm hoping today will be the day the crocheting for the purse is done so hopefully we will have some progress pictures late today or tommorow.  Then I'll figure out the lining and sew that.  Then I'll work on the Diamond Patch.  I'm hoping the blocking goes well for it as every row seems to add a lot of width and not as much length as you would think. 

 

On the fitness angle.  I'm so BAD at going to bed early.  When I do I wake up at 4 a.m.  But I want to keep trying to get in bed by 10:30 p.m.  Last night I made it by 11 which was a BIG improvement over 1 a.m. the night before.  I think the medicine for the Hypothyroidism has helped a LOT.  The only problem is food tastes better now and I'm actually hungry.  So I'm doing well with the kinds of foods I eat, but now I'll concentrate on quantity.

This is to test if I can format a picture to be small enough to fit in the center column of my new blog template. I thought I'd use a favorite picture of Sally. It will be two years in December since she's been with us and I have to say I think of her as often as I think of other loved ones who have passed on. How lucky I was/am to have had her as part of my family!

As you can see, I've made some changes around here. I want to point something out before I hurt any feelings. If you look at the list of "Blogs I Read" it is a lot shorter. I deleted those from BlogRolling that I have on Bloglines. If you want to see all the blogs I read (not daily but I do my best) click "Bloglines Subscriptions". I just found Blogines easier to read than Blogrolling.

I worked on this blog template instead of finishing the crochet on the purse. I've very close to done though and if all goes well, will post pics this week. I have to make the lining too. I'm in the middle of Esther's Frontier Hat. She will officially get it when she's potty trained. She's very close, so I better get the tail done!
